SILVER LINING Part I of V

Part I: Gratitude in Everything As 2018 draws to a close, I would like to personally thank our benefactors, donors, partners, families and friends for their gift of love and resources. Time and again, mutual cooperation among Non government Organizations (NGO) as well as Government Organizations (GO) had proven exponential success and afforded positive outcomes in our communities. We earnestly pray for stronger ties to forge and more collaborations to achieve. MMLM’s strong showing over the years comes from a “giving spirit” as exemplified by our parents and founders, Jesus Estalilla Maglaya, Jr. and Ma. Dolores Buack Maglaya. Their lives were committed to giving back to the community without expecting anything in return. And so to this day, all MMLM Volunteers live up to our Brand, “Community Service With a Heart ♥️”. The year 2018 was a game changer for many reasons. For one, the Annual Medical-Legal Missions reached a whopping high of 8,000 patient visits which accounts for 300% increase since 2014. With this tremendous increase in patient loads comes great responsibility. In order for MMLM to maintain its excellent and quality service, more funds were infused into this line budget and additional staff was hired. For 2019, we foresee a much bigger and more streamlined budget for both the Annual Medical-Legal Missions and the Satellite Clinics. Indeed, we have so much to be thankful for. In the coming days, I will continue with my report and in fact, discuss the status of our Programs and Community collaboration methodologies.
